May has arrived and I hope it brings lots of Spring cheer with it. I am in my fifth month now of taking time to acknowledge the things that make me happy and grateful every day… almost half way to my goal of a full year. If you want to join in on this challenge please add your thoughts in the comments or start your own blog. There is a lot to be happy and grateful for!
Today was wonderful. It was in the upper seventies and a nice breeze blowing. Mostly sunny skies and those white puffy clouds. And I actually got out and was able to enjoy some of it.
My boyfriend and I went to a state park not too far away that has a trail system. We took it easy and tried to pick a fairly easy path. It was GREAT on the way down, but the walk back up the hill proved to be a bit more of a challenge. I made it though. We had to stop a lot on the way back and it was slow going, but we were not on any time schedule.
A lovely wooded area with a nice creek we saw at the bottom of the hill. My Monochrome Monday post is one of the pictures I took and I will share one of the creek and a rock wall.
We came home and cleaned up to try a newer restaurant for dinner that serves English food and I had my first Bangers and Mash. It was really good. It is one of those nice little local favorite restaurants that is good for lunch or dinner and hanging with friends.
Now I am feeling the effects of the long day and am ready for a good night’s sleep. I am happy to have been able to enjoy a little nature today. Grateful for a good meal. And let’s hope fibro doesn’t spoil tomorrow because of the activity today!
