The diamond caper
Was set as planned
In and out
With the loot in hand
But sirens blared
And lights flashed
The thieves froze
And then they dashed
But the dogs were lose
And chase began
Everyone running
As fast as they can
The cops arrived
Ready to arrest
But the thieves had escaped
And headed out west
No jewelry was stolen
No money was taken
But you can bet your life
Some nerves were shaken
Love it! Seems like the pacing of this poem gives a feel for the flight of those running away. Fabulous!
Thanks. I had fun writing this one.
