Seven months are gone now and surprisingly I am still plugging along with this challenge to post about my happiness and gratitude every day this year. August brings the state fair here in Iowa and lots of heat and humidity. It is the time to see the back to school shopping start with kids dreading it and parents loving it. As I continue my challenge I hope you will take a minute to reflect on your day too. You can even share your happiness and gratitude here in the comments or on your own blog. There is good in every day!
It was a busy day today with coffee day for Dad, a stop at the tobacco shop (for my Dad) and dropping off books to my daughter. Then I did a little paper work at home for my boyfriend… I am tired tonight. But I was grateful most of my errands took place in between the little rain showers we had today. I just wish we had gotten a little more rain than we did though.
Tonight my daughter came over to share some tacos for dinner and then try to catch up on our soap watching. We had a purely girly moment and got all happy for a new plot twist with a surprising new couple getting together. We laughed and cheered them on … it was a purely cheesy moment, but you have to be silly every once in a while.
All in all it was a pretty good day… I am just trying to hold onto that fact as I wind down in the lonely hours of the night. I will do some more reading and try to get to sleep soon. Remember to find your happiness and feel your gratitude. Have a good night/day!
