Happy and Grateful – Day 290

The month of October is upon us.  Fall is in full swing with the leaves gathering on the lawn… maybe a pile or two to run through even.  The evenings are getting dark earlier as the days grow shorter.  And a few of us look forward to a good scare with Halloween coming this month.  Everyday has at least some small portion of good in it.  I am looking for that good with this challenge to find my happiness and gratitude every day.  Join in with the challenge by commenting or writing your own blog… let’s find some goodness today.

It has been a lovely fall day.  I sat here by the window, had some coffee, listened to the birds sing and read though some blogs today.  It was a nice relaxing afternoon.  Then I went with my boyfriend out-of-town to meet my daughter for dinner tonight as it was my birthday.  We had a fabulous dinner at Olive Garden complete with left overs to eat later this week.  I was happy to spend the evening with two very special people in my life.

After dinner my daughter had to go back to work and we drove home.  We did stop to see my Dad and visited with him awhile.  He and my sister had a couple of birthday gifts for me so I opened them up.  I was so grateful for the gifts.  They gave me a new tool to use in my card making so I can not only cut but emboss cards too.  I can’t wait to try it out, but it will have to wait a day or two while I find room for it on my shelves.  It was a wonderful end to the day.

Now I need to go through some email and then call it a night.  I hope you all find your happiness and feel your gratitude.  Have a wonderful night/day!
