Happy and Grateful – Day 310

November brings a chill in the air and the start of the holiday gatherings of family and friends.  I can’t believe I am down to the last two month of my challenge to find happiness and feel gratitude every day.  I hope you join with me in the comments or your own blog in this challenge.  No matter how small there is always a little good in even the worst day.

A chilly day today, but there was sun almost all day.  Made for a better day to have to be awake early.  We had to (finally) take my car into have it worked on.  There was a problem with the air flow sensor harness… or something like that.  And my rear defroster was not working.  With winter around the corner, I needed to get that fixed.  My Dad helped me out with repair costs… I couldn’t be more grateful.  He has done so much for me since I have gotten sick.  I would be lost without him.

My happiness from today is harder to find.  Just not feeling the best.  It makes me feel so worthless having to ask for help with finances.  Then my boyfriend went to the doctor and came home all upset, because the doctor was upset he was not taking care of himself.  Not a big surprise, he knew going today he has not been following his diet, using his insulin or exercising.  He spent the rest of the day in a foul mood.

I did get a text from a friend, a phone call from my daughter and spent some time catching up on email… I will take all those little moments as my happiness for the day.  I think part of the reason I did not have a big happy moment is I am stressing the maintenance crew coming to the apartment tomorrow to change the furnace filter and smoke detector batteries.  I hate strangers coming into my home…. does anyone else feel that way?

I need to try to sleep now as I need to be up and showered before they start coming through to work tomorrow.  Remember to find your happiness and feel your gratitude.  Have a wonderful night/day.
