One of my favorite months is upon us. I love the wonder of the holidays. How it can light up young and old alike. The weather is (usually) starting to change the world white and frosty. And the promise of a new year is just around the corner. This is the final month of my attempt to find the things that make me happy and grateful every day for a year… I have mixed emotions that it will be ending. Please join me these last few days and post your happiness and gratitude in the comments or on your own blog. There is always some good in the day no matter how small.
Happy Christmas Eve! This is the quiet of the night… very little traffic outside, no noise from the neighbors, and everyone asleep waiting for the big day tomorrow. This is the first year in a long time I will not be up until the wee hours wrapping gifts – I finished that early this evening. I am grateful to not have hours ahead of me still.
Today we finished the last little bits of getting ready for tomorrow. We have chili simmering to take to lunch tomorrow and my boyfriend’s sister’s house. The meatloaf for dinner is mixed and ready to go from refrigerator to oven tomorrow for dinner. We are so organized this year compared to other years it is kind of scary. BUT, it makes me happy to be able to relax a little (as much as my anxiety will let me) and just enjoy the day.
Now my meds have been taken and the chili has been stirred so I will read a few more posts and hope to sleep soon. Remember to find your happiness and feel your gratitude. Have a wonderful night/day!
