The Lamp

The flash of metal caught my eye. Lying in the pile of leaves and branches was what looked like an old lamp. I moved closer and pushing some twigs aside I picked it up. It was definitely old and tarnished, but there was still a certain beauty about it that was screaming, “Take me home!”

As I went to my car I lightly brushed the mud off and was knocked down by a large blast of smoke. Looking up from the ground, I couldn’t believe my eyes. There, floating above me, was a genie. This just became a great day.
