You Asked… I Hesitated (FOWC)

Against my better judgment
I finally opened up
You had asked me how I was doing
And I just told you everything
I told you of the hurt and pain
Of the lies and loneliness
I told you how I dreaded home
But feared to be away
It was like a weight was lifted
You rescued me from the dark
You were there for me when I needed you
It awakened something in me
Some small hope
That life was far from over
And I am still grateful you asked
And took the time to listen
