Sweetie

“I am not your property to be brought out only on special occasions! To be seen just to decorate your arm when you need to look good! I am a not a thing, I am a woman who deserves her own life and if you can’t give me that…” she trailed off, out of breath and heart beating fast.

“Now sweetie I didn’t mean anything by it.” he said condescendingly

She spun back around to face him, “Don’t call me sweetie! You go enjoy your dinner alone.” and with that she turned back to her suitcase and opened it up.
