Haunted Questions

I wonder if
You still exist
Is your spirit
Still in pain
Do you feel
The least remorse
For leaving her
Without a father
Can you see
The woman she is
In spite of
What you did
Or is there
Nothing but darkness
In your afterlife

  1. I have never understood men who failed as fathers. It is one thing to not be a good father, I can almost understand that,
But a man who isn’t there, well, he isn’t a man.

Sorry, for the little rant. Your little poem inspired a bit of anger. So, I guess what I am saying is good poem. After all a poet should be making his/her reader FEEL something.
