It’s Alive

Sally put the car in park and ran across the street to meet her daughter for coffee.  The two of them chatted for a while and then the two left to go to the library.  Walking to her car Sally was laughing at a joke her daughter had shared when she stopped in her tracks.  There on her car was a parking ticket.  “Oh no,” she said.  “I forgot to feed the meter.

Her daughter just laughed and said, “The meter got angry and bit back at you.”

“Ha, ha.  I recall you getting one not that long ago.”

“Touché.”

      1. I have heard the cost of living is higher in NY, but that is outrageous for a ticket fee. That is closer to a violation of parking in the handicapped spot or having your car towed.
