Mom Knows Best

Karen let out a sigh and turned the page in her book again.  “Mom, I just don’t get this question at all,” she said.  “And I’ve read the assignment a million times now.”

Diane went over to the table where her daughter sat and said, “What is the question?”

“We are supposed to answer these five questions from the reading, but this third one just isn’t in the reading.”

“I’m sure your teacher wouldn’t give you impossible homework.  Why don’t you read it out loud.”

Karen read the three pages again and suddenly understood, saying, “Thanks mom, you’re the best.”
