Postponed

Don’t rush me

I usually drag my feet

Especially when it’s something

I am not sure about

I wish someone would tell me

Which direction I should go

But I am torn in two

Over this decision

Should I stay

Or should I go

I guess I will continue

To procrastinate this dilemma

Because I do love you

But fear it is not enough

Not Worth It

Pay me no mind

I am just a regular girl

Nothing special

Far from a beauty

Don’t waste your time

For someone so bland

Without any glamour

Or diamonds and bling

Turn and walk away

I’m not worth the bother

I am damaged goods

Ruined by another

Give up on me

Before you even begin

Because how can you love me

When I can’t love me

Mumbles … derail

Everyone has fears.  Having anxiety issues, I have more than my share of fears.  One is a fear of driving under a train.  I know it sounds pretty lame.  When I was in my teens there was a train that derailed on a bridge and a person on a motorcycle just barely missed getting struck by one of the train cars.  Ever since then I cringe when I go under a train on a bridge.  It even spilled over to wintertime driving and me fearing a semi or even a car, will lose control and crash over the edge of the bridge landing on my car.  I know it is irrational.  I know the odds are in my favor, not the train’s.  I just can’t seem to shake it.  I often literally shiver when I go under the occupied bridge.  I have in the past been known to increase my speed to get past that point quickly.  I have survived 100% of the time.  I have only heard of that one train derail in town.  I still can’t shake the fear.  Do you have any fears, rational or not?

Past the Point

He lied again

Right to my face

Said he was at the bar

It’s his hiding place

He lies all the time

Drinks night and day

And spend hours away

Doing what I can’t say

I’m now past the point

Of angry and mad

Irate is the emotion

I suddenly had

I won’t do this anymore

I have had enough

Out the door he goes

With all of his stuff

Real Neat Award

Sadje at Keep It Alive has nominated me for the new Real Neat Award.  Thanks so much Sadje, sorry it took so long for me to do it.

Let’s jump right in with the rules:

  • Display the award logo
  • Thank the blogger who nominated you and post a link to their blog
  • Answer the questions from the blog who nominated you
  • Nominate seven to ten bloggers
  • Ask them seven questions

Here are Sadje’s questions.

Where does blogging fit in your daily life?  I blog off and on throughout the day as I find time, but most often I do my writing late at night when it is quiet.

Have you ever tried to do:

a) Paragliding No, I have a big fear of falling and there are just little straps keeping me from doing so… no thank you.

b) Horse riding I was on a horses back twice in my youth, but I wouldn’t call it riding.  Would still love to do a trail ride sometime.

c) Deep sea-diving I would be open to the idea… just far away from sharks!

Do you celebrate your birthday? We usually go out to eat and celebrate a little.  After beating breast cancer I look forward to every birthday I can get.

If you have free time at hand, would you go for a walk or a long drive? It would depend on my fibromyalgia.  If I am hurting a lot a walk may be too much.  On a good day though I would easily say a walk.

Your best friend calls in the middle of the night and asks you to meet them at a deserted place, will you go? BTW, this friend has known to pull pranks! Well if it is a BEST friend they would know I suffer from anxiety and then I would trust they would not pull a prank, so yes.

Now I am supposed to nominate people.  I am a rule breaker though, don’t want anyone left out.  So, you are ALL nominated.  Please join in and have some fun!  Now for my questions for all of you.

What is your favorite type of writing (poetry, flash fiction, stream of consciousness)?

If you use prompts, what kind do you like (picture, word, phrase, set number of words, etc)?

What is your favorite pet you have had or want to get?

Since this is close to Halloween, do you like scary movies?

Have you ever seen a movie based on a book that was better than the book?

Do you prefer coffee or tea?

If you listen to it, when do you start to play Christmas music?

Fandango’s Friday Flashback – October 25

Fandango started the Fandango’s Friday Flashback post a while back and I think only a handful of times have I posted ON Friday.  Once again I am a day behind… please forgive me!

The idea is to expose your readers to posts they may have missed or never saw.  So I travel back to October 25 just last year.  I hope you like this poem originally posted here.

Duel

Don’t challenge me

I won’t back down

I won’t listen to your lies

And I protect my own

You lost your chance

When you turned your back

You can’t push me around

I’m stronger than you know

Don’t challenge me

You won’t win
