Keep On Rockin’

She sat alone at a table in the back of the room. The heady scent of alcohol met her as the waitress sat down her drink, a long island ice-tea.  She really wasn’t here for the booze.  She would likely nurse this one all night.  She was here to see the local band perform.

The band played rock and pop music and had only been together a couple of years.  Diane had not been able to see them yet and was excited as she went to school with the bass player.  The band approached the stage.  The room quieted a bit.  And then the lights flashed on with the first note played.  This was going to be a great night.
