Alert the media, mark this on the calendar… I have kept a plant alive in my sole care for about 10 months now. That is a new record for me. I have had so many plants over the years that last maybe a month or two before they die. My mom could grow anything and make it flourish. Bless her heart she tried several times with a, “Try this plant, it is easy to grow.” I would take it home and water it and give it a little sun and it repaid me with dried up wilted leaves eventually to die.
When my ex-husband passed away, I took a plant home and it ended up at my Dad’s for a few years, one of his care givers would water it weekly so it thrived. After Dad died and I moved into the house the plant was my responsibility. It is still alive! I even noticed a new leaf coming in the other day. It has bloomed a couple of times. I might have gotten a little of that green thumb from my Mom afterall. Do you have a green thumb?

Good! It’s a positive start.
Thanks Sadje!
You’re welcome 😉
Well done, my friend! ❤️
Thanks! 😁
Congratulations on helping your plant survive. Do I have a green thumb? Not a chance.
Maybe you should try a peace lily too?
No, I have a black thumb! I tend to over water. My husband, however, is like
your mother.
Well this is a peace lily and all I do is water it once a week or so and turn it occasionally in the window. Maybe I had to wait until Mom was gone so her talent was passed on to me then? 👻
Perhaps so.
Impressive!
Or garden is littered with the corpses of gardening good intentions
Around here there are just too many rabbits and other critters that like to nibble on garden food. Thanks Michael!
