Sheryl sat down and opened her menu.  After scanning the page, she looked up and asked, “Okay Brett, what are burnt ends and why would anyone want anything that is burnt?”

Brett sat across from her at the table and drew a deep breath, “They are not really burnt, just smoked.  They are just a part of the beef brisket that is trimmed off.  It is a staple for a real barbecue joint.  And I can tell you the burnt ends here are melt in your mouth good!”

Sheryl said, “That settles it then.  I will try the burnt ends.”
