She reached across her desk to pick up the piece of paper she had just placed there not more than five minutes ago.  She began to read it again, for about the tenth time.  She was finally going to do it.  She had been working on a short novel for nearly two years and she finally was going to put it out there to be judged by different publishing companies.

She held the cover letter in her hands and deciding it was okay, she placed it on top of her manuscript and sealed the envelope.  It was now or never.
