It was beautiful, a crystal bell. He gave it to her to add to her collection of bells and hoped it would be a nice surprise when he came back from his business trip. But he was shocked when she began to inspect the bell very closely. She began to fire back question after question at him, “What was the name of the store where you got it? How much did it cost? Was it certified?”
He sighed and turned to her saying, “I don’t know. Don’t you know you’re not supposed to look a gift horse in the mouth?”

A beautiful present! Maybe she is a connoisseur of art!
I pictured her as a avid collector with lots of knowledge about the bells. Thank you!
You’re welcome! Well written.
Great story for the expression.
Thank you so much!
Sure!
Personally I think the bell is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
