The letter M …
I have got to say I have been pretty lucky so far. I know some people who have a great fear of the doctor, often due to a bad experience. I only had one doctor I could come close to saying I hated. And one I just got a big brush off from. I see doctors for my mental health and my fibromyalgia. There is the eye doctor and I recently saw the foot doctor. I have an allergy and asthma doctor. And we might as well throw the dentist in there as well. Two doctors I had hold a special place in my heart – my oncologist and radiology doctor. Those two got me through cancer with little difficulties.
What I am trying to say is I have had a lot of interaction with workers in the medical field. Not just doctors but lots of nurses and physical therapists. The super friendly receptionists that greet me when I go in for an appointment. I wouldn’t be where I am today without them all.
And right now they are putting their lives on the line to help patients with the corona virus. I hear all kinds of amazing stories of what these men and women are doing. I don’t know how hard it would be to have to witness so many people alone and scared who can’t have visitors. It is inspiring. So with my history and the current selfless acts that are happening all over the world, my gratitude is all the medical personnel… right down to the people who have to clean and disinfect the rooms when they are empty.
