“One pill makes you larger and one pill makes you small and the ones that Mother gives you don’t do anything at all…”
White Rabbit, by Jefferson Airplane
The red one makes me sleepy
The blue one keeps me sane
The round one calms me down
The square one is for sneezes
The oval one drops cholesterol
And the gel ones are just vitamins
But that is just the starting point
I have more shapes and sizes
I take a half of this dose
If I want to stay awake
But only a quarter of this pill
To calm my nervous shakes
The pain pill and muscle relaxers
They help me sleep at night
Then there are the eye drops
That keep my vision on track
A nasal spray and an inhaler
Help me breath both night and day
And there is more here on the table
Their names I couldn’t pronounce
There is six at night and four in the morning
Plus those extras in between
Medicine to cure what ails me
To actually live without them
Oh what a wonderful dream

It is a wonderful dream but alas we need our meds. At least there is something to manage and cure our diseases.
True, thanks Sadje!
