“What are you going to do with that old thing?” my husband asked me.
I looked at the worn basket and said, “I thought we would use it to put Christmas cards in this year. I will give it a coat of paint and a little glitter and it will look festive in no time.”
“But the wrap on the handle is coming off.”
“Dear, I can use glue to put it back in place.”
“What made you think of this project now? It is only the first of November. Can’t we celebrate Thanksgiving first?”
“You know every year we get cards as early as the week of Thanksgiving. I want it ready by then. Besides I have a lot of craft projects to get done before Christmas, don’t be such a Scrooge.”
“Just don’t rush the holidays, I want to enjoy all of them.”
