No Rush

I pull my coat closer

Bundled up for heat

The wind howls

As the snow flies

And I think of you

How your words

Have turned cold too

Distant and few

Honestly I feel alone

Even when I’m with you

So I trudge through

growing piles of snow

In no rush to go home

Enjoying a little of true solitude

Before you make me feel invisible
