I thought it was time for a little Mumble… and by the time the heat hits 90 in the next few days mumbling may be all I am doing as it is just too darn early to turn on the air conditioner (my opinion my change on that if we truly do have 4 days of upper 80s and low 90s). But I planned ahead when I saw the forecast and made my way to the store to buy a pedestal fan to circulate some air. It is merely 9am as I write this and already mid 60s and humid from yesterdays two inches of rain.
If you haven’t noticed, I am still not caught up with old posts, but I am still trying. I have however begun to try to hit the current posts of the day so I don’t double up on being behind. Little by little I will get it done. I really want to read all of the A to Z Challenge posts of those I follow so I will keep plugging away.
I just wanted to pop in and say hi. I need to go and open some windows to get the cool air in now. It was often a saying of my folks that whenever the temp was climbing higher to say, “We’re having a heatwave.” I just can leave that alone so here is the most famous heatwave I know of… Marilyn Monroe (sorry it is a pretty poor quality video).

Everything…. We want everything to go smoothly, we have everything to do to get ready for the holidays and we think we have everything under control. Everything begins to overwhelm us and we worry about everything.
I am stuck here in my little corner thinking about everything… and it is getting to be too much when I have to choose between things I like or want to do. What I am trying to say is I REALLY want to get caught up, but it is looking less like I will. I am still going to try. I have started looking at daily posts as they come out for the day and then just writing for the days I am behind. I don’t know if I can keep that up as I struggle to get cards out NO LATER than Tuesday morning. I plan to have everything out tomorrow, but plans don’t always go right.
I still need a day for treats. I think this is my plan… letters and cards out Monday, treats on Tuesday and Wrapping Wednesday and Thursday along with shopping for any last minute things I realize I need. I think that covers everything. And with any luck I can still squeeze in WP. No matter what… when January first hit. I will concentrate on only January posts. If there is anything I am missing you think I should see just drop me a link in my comments. I still have all of the week after Christmas with nothing else going on to beat my deadline. But we will see how everything plays out.
THANK YOU all so much for everything… it is back to the reader I go!

I am doing some “speed reading” and not many comments. With everything going on I have not had time or energy to do much on WP… so I am trying like crazy to “catch up.” I apologize for not taking the time to comment like I usually do, but I have got to do something to speed things up and I don’t want to miss any of what you all write. So, I do not hate your writing, I am only silent for times sake. If I do that through this weekend I may just be able to get back to “normal” next month. Thanks everyone… I still love your words!

There has been a conspicuous absence of posts on my blog recently. I am back to being more than a week behind and I am trying to find a little time to write. My usual writing time is the quiet of the night after everyone has gone to sleep. However, life has kind of altered that as I have not been getting the sleep I need so therefor, I fall asleep many nights before I can write anything.
There has been a conspicuous void of words flowing during the day as there is usually too much going on and my boyfriend has the TV turned up so loud, I can’t think. So, by the time it has quieted down I am usually too tired to write. BUT a new week is here, and I have a plan or two for some me time. I know I focus on many other things but if I can just narrow it down to some thoughts that come only one at a time, maybe I can get caught up this week.
So, keep your eyes posted for incoming words… I am going to try again to catch up. Have a great week! (((HUGS)))

I have not fallen off the face of the earth, I (unfortunately) did not win the lottery either, but I have fallen behind. A little lack of momentum, too many things happening at once and just not enough hours in the day. But I am doing all I can to slowly catch up. I will state here my goal is to be on track by the start of June. I hope I am not reaching too far with that goal… I have a full two weeks yet.
But speaking of the lottery, what are three things you would do if you won a big jackpot? I would hire a construction crew to redo my house… it is 100 years old and needs a lot of TLC. I would give my daughter a share for their house and a new car. And the first thing I would do… hire a lawyer and financial advisor. You have to make sure the money doesn’t destroy you, as I have heard of other winners doing. What about you? Come on, dream a little!

Everyone knows it. It popped into my head the first time I saw the prompt. To assume makes this (ass) out of this (u) and this (me). I feel like I have made an ass of myself the last week or so. I have not had many creative juices flowing and have fallen behind again on my daily reading and prompts. But if all goes as planned I will only be one day behind by the end of tonight. And I am hoping I can catch that up before Friday.
So don’t go assuming I have vanished from Word Press it just isn’t true. I am plugging away as best as I can. Be prepared for a little more activity until I get squared away with the days. In the meantime I need to go write some more. I hope everyone has a great week!
Now enjoy this song with assume in it that I think is pretty relevant about now…
We have reached the month of April and I am still on course to post daily with my happiness and gratitude I have found. Please join in if you feel like doing this too by sharing in the comments or on your own blog. There is so much to be happy and grateful for.
I have spent the day playing catch up. The most strenuous thing I have done is two loads of laundry, otherwise I have been on my computer reading emails and posts from WordPress. I also had a sunburn from yesterday “catching up” with the heat and itching on my face and arms.
It was good to not have a long list of things to do today. I think I regained some of the energy I lost over the last couple of days and I am grateful for that. I am also happy I was able to just kind of take it easy today. Holidays are nice but they can be a lot of work sometimes.
