Encore, Encore!

Notes hit the air

The crowd in a frenzy

The drums begin to pound

A familiar rhythm

An electric guitar screams

The crowd answers back

The singer steps to the mic

He is deafened by the audience

Singing louder than him

He steps back from the mic

And signals the crowd

The words ring out

Across the auditorium

The lights go up

The crowd is alive as one

The encore leaves the band

Bathed in adoration

Nothing better than music

To bring people together

Chance Meeting

I saw you in a crowded room

You took my breath away

I knew there was something special

I had to be a part of your life

I needed your love

A plethora of hugs

An excess of kisses

And an overabundance of your time

So I made a move

And asked you out

Now life is anything but boring

We laugh

We live

We love

And we will forever

Until death do us part

The Return Home

The spotlight went on him

He began to play a riff

And the crowd went wild

The music flowed through the auditorium

The lights flashed brightly

And the audience was entranced

He played the last notes of the song

And the stage went dark

The crowd began to cheer, scream and whistle

This was just the beginning

This would be a concert to remember

The hometown crowd was perfect

Those who had doubted him long ago

Would now see how it was done

Rock and roll at its best
