The month of October is upon us. Fall is in full swing with the leaves gathering on the lawn… maybe a pile or two to run through even. The evenings are getting dark earlier as the days grow shorter. And a few of us look forward to a good scare with Halloween coming this month. Everyday has at least some small portion of good in it. Today was a double doctor day. The heart doctor for my Dad and my weekly therapist for me. The appointments were spread out enough that there was no mad dash to get to one from the other at least. But it made it another day of being out and about with little down time. So tonight when I had nothing to do for a change it was so nice to be able to catch up a little on some email and posts. I was grateful for that free time.
It was a pretty grey day with off and on rain most of the day. But it was nice and cool so I could have the windows open after I got back home. It always makes me happy to experience a little bit of nature, no matter how small a part that may be. The birds singing and tonight the crickets chirping is good for me.
I should call it a night and post this. I am starting to feel the effects of my nighttime meds. I need to close up the apartment for the night and drift off to dream land (oh, to sleep well enough that I do actually dream would be a blessing).
