Dig a little deeper

Aim the shovel downwards

Tunnel to my soul

Each word you say

Reaches deeper

And you toss

What is left behind

In a pile of uncaring

Soon I will be hollow

Unable to trust

Unable to believe

Unable to love

And the vastness

You leave in me

Will only remind me

Of your cold empty heart

He Knows

Softly he brushes

The hair off her cheek

He tells her she is beautiful

And gently gives her a kiss

He knows the moment it happens

Her eyes give her away

The kiss ignites her passion

And she draws him back in

This time a deeper kiss

And he knows she wants him

But he lets her take the lead

Moving nice and slowly

Their bodies mingle

Intertwined as one

Her breath matching his

There hearts sharing a rhythm

And finally their passion is spent

Leaving the two of them

Empty of energy but

Blissful in their exhaustion

They fall asleep in each other’s arms

With Feeling

comedy and tragedy

The truth is hidden within

And should not be kept silent

Express your feelings

May they be good or bad

Let your loved ones

Know that they matter

It’s ok to cry when you hurt

Laugh when there is happiness

And scream with anger

Locking down your feelings

For far too long

Can leave you with only

The loss of expression

And an empty hollow life

and for those of you still with me a little bonus…

Mumbles … Predicament

The shelves are getting bare here.  There is no hand sanitizer at the local Walmart.  The cleaning solutions aisle is about empty.  There are no face masks.  And don’t get me started on the toilet paper aisle.  If people keep hording these things there are many people who are going to be in quite a predicament.  Why do people panic and buy out the stores?  If you are not in a high-risk group you may get COVID-19, but you will survive it most likely.  I don’t have all the numbers and stats even though I have read them in the past.  That is not what this is about.

How much toilet paper does one household need?  Why haven’t the stores put limits on how much people can buy?  I feel sorry for those who really need it – like someone going through a colonoscopy prep.  There are just some things you need softness for.

In all seriousness… now is a time to think of others.  Take only what you need and leave some for the rest of us.  Stay healthy everyone!

*Oh and as a final note that was the only toilet paper picture on Pexels free link here… it bothers me because it is on BACKWARDS! 😲
