The kids are all in school, there is a growing crisp in the air. Football games and shorter days fill the weeks. It is September. I have accomplished another month of acknowledging my happiness and gratitude every day. Join me as I continue my goal of one year on this journey. Please join in with your happiness and gratitude in the comments or your own blog post. No matter how bad the day is there is always something worthwhile in the day.
It was the battle of the year… the day of the inner state rivalry between the Iowa State Cyclones and the University of Iowa Hawkeyes. I am a Cyclone fan since my Dad went to school there, but this year it was not meant to be. It was a great game to watch… close most of the game and it ended with overtime. Alas they got the touchdown and we only got the field goal. But it made me happy to watch it none the less.
Aside from the game… it was an ok day. I have dealt with anxiety a lot today. Just felt it lingering all day. So I chose to stay home for the day. I know it can often get worse if I drive through any kind of traffic, and game day always bring lots of traffic, So I was grateful I was able to stay home and tried to remain calm.
Tonight I am trying to carve out a little time to relax with a book. I decided to write first so I could actually get it posted before I fall asleep. So I remind you to find your happiness and feel your gratitude. Have a good night/day!
