On the Edge of Stardom

“Did you see the article in People about that singer that won the Voice?”

“No, I didn’t.  Is it this week’s issue?”

“Yes, it tells all about her years with regional bands.  I guess she played some in Iowa.”

“Really, did they say where?”

“It just said a small club in Iowa, not even a city.”

“I know she blew me away on TV.  It would have been cool if we had seen her live before.”

“There have been quite a few good bands we have seen that should have made it big.  There’s lots of talent in the area.”

Without You

I took you to
The local favorites
Just to share
My town with you
Now that you’re gone
Those places haunt me
Without you, without you

I shared my
Heart with you
Because you moved me
Stirring emotions in me
Now that you’re gone
It barely beats
Without you, without you

I did my best
To make you family
Including you when I could
In all I did
Now that you’re gone
My family feels fractured
Without you, without you

Without you
I cant breathe
Without you
My soul cries
Without you
I feel lost
Without you, without you

Lost without you…
