Sally picked the book up off the shelf.  It was the latest mystery novel by B. F. Hunter.  She had read many of his books and always found them to be entertaining.  This one however had a twist she was unsure of… it dealt with a bug expert having his victims devoured by swarms.  Sally hated bugs!  But he was one of her favorite authors.  She sighed and tucked the book in the basket with a couple of others she had found.  Making her way to check out she dug her discount card out and prepared to make her purchase.

Walls

He was a man of intrigue,
Mysterious to a fault;
So much so that he never opened up.
Closing off to many of us
Who only tried to care.
I was one of those
Quietly pushed aside.
To this day I still care,
But I wont stand here forever,
On the outside of his walls.
I’ll take my heart and find a way
Or else forget about it all.
