Boat Notes

I received your note

And replying I wrote

I’d love a ride on your boat

I grabbed my coat

And a lunch I could tote

With bread made of oat

For this party afloat

But there was no time to gloat

Because of a pain in my throat

There was not enough time to properly dote

Upon the grandeur of your houseboat

For you said and I quote…

“Go away you’re sick!”

Encore, Encore!

Notes hit the air

The crowd in a frenzy

The drums begin to pound

A familiar rhythm

An electric guitar screams

The crowd answers back

The singer steps to the mic

He is deafened by the audience

Singing louder than him

He steps back from the mic

And signals the crowd

The words ring out

Across the auditorium

The lights go up

The crowd is alive as one

The encore leaves the band

Bathed in adoration

Nothing better than music

To bring people together

Mumbles … Theoretical

I am dealing with too much anxiety.  I have to make a phone call.  I don’t do well with strangers and dealing with conflict.  So, calling a person who left a note on my car after they backed into it has left me frazzled.  Theoretically it should be an easy call, I see if they have insurance and if they are going to pay for the damages… they already left the note saying they backed into me.  I just am dragging my feet.  Anxiety sucks!  And as it keeps getting later I think maybe I could just do it tomorrow.  Oh… I should just jump into this!  Wish me luck.

Have you ever had to deal with the aftermath of an accident where you got a note or left a note?
