We were in love
But with such different ways
Of showing how we cared
And I began to wonder
If you really even felt anything
But you were just so different
Quiet and reserved
While I was more about the touch
Closeness was my need
So we had to fight to stay together
And today we are still going strong
We just needed a little understanding
And a willingness to live in contrast
