Wherever We Go

Walk with me

Hold my hand in yours

I don’t know where we’re going

I only know I want you there

At this juncture of my life

I am tired of being alone

And I am tired of being used

I want someone to stand with me

Not ahead or behind me

You always have

And I trust you always will

We are partners in this

So walk with me

Hold my hand in yours

We can face it all together

Down any path we choose

The Path Ahead

I have given my heart away

Many different times

And each time it ends

I lose a little more of it

Now battered and run through the wringer

I take my heart and set out on a path for the future

Hopeful that I can find

Someone who won’t hurt me

Someone who will love me

And someone who will be honest

This path may be treacherous

But it is nothing like

The road already traveled

Monochrome Monday – Inviting Path

I almost forgot it was Monday and I needed to post this… oops!  This is one of my favorite local parks to walk in when I am feeling up to it.  I used to walk here 3 or 4 times a week.  They have garden beds, a wooded path that crosses a creek and lots of people in the summer.  Great place for taking pictures – actually a lot of the local photographers will use it as a backdrop for senior pictures.  I hope you enjoy…
