Stick With The Plan

As her Dad droned on and on about what they were going to go see in the museum Penny just prayed for a break from all the plans and places they had to rush through on this trip to Washington DC.  It was not what she had expected.  And although she was learning things to take back to school with her for the fall, she had heard too much attention to the tiniest detail in planning where to go and what to do, even bathroom breaks.  So, when her Dad stopped talking, she said, “Do we synchronize our watches now?”

Tea and Sandwiches

She wanted everything to be right.  She was meticulous with every little detail.  This was the first time she had hosted a luncheon for her book club and she wanted it memorable.  She took advantage of her love of crafting to make individual place markers with their names at the table.  She knew there were a couple of people that just shouldn’t sit together so she thought this would solve any impending problems.

They arrived on time and marveled at the work she had done with the book themed luncheon.  It went well, like she had it planned all along.
