A to Z Challenge – G is for Gandhi

“In prayer it is better to have a heart without words than words without a heart.”

Mahatma Gandhi

You have to feel… empty prayers (or hopes) with no heart or feelings behind them don’t show a dedication or need. But if you really fill your heart with the feelings of what you need or want it means so much more. I think in some ways it is like the power of positive thinking… if you don’t put your heart into it, it likely will not happen. Everyone can be more heartfelt about life… it doesn’t cost a thing and could gain you so much.

To roll in the dough

You must know

A way to get ahead

And never feel dread

Always think positive

Never be negative

And then your dreams

Will be all it seems

You can be a winner

But first please eat your dinner

Forward and Back

Two steps forward

Three steps back

It happens all the time

But keep trying

Stay positive

And one day

It will be three steps forward

And two steps back

As long as you’re positive

You can move forward

And make progress

In this game called life
