But time and time again
You proved that statement wrong
You regurgitated the same words
Over and over each time thinking
That they would lose the stench
Of the lies they carried with them
But you only used me
You got what you needed
Maybe you did help me out
As you schemed along the way
But ultimately it was you who lost
Someone who was a true friend
