As Shelly walked into the living room, she saw Fred in his chair fooling with something in his hands. “What is that you’ve got?”
Holding it up proudly Fred said, “It’s a Creston 285.”
“A what?”
“A Creston 285… it is a tool for – “
“A tool? You mean another gadget.”
“Maybe.”
“Well just don’t use it on any of the appliances ‘Tim Taylor.’ They are all working fine, and I would like to keep it that way.”
“You have so little faith in me and my repair skills?”
“No, I know how you tinker with things that already work!”
