He sat across from her
Drinking her beauty in.
She felt desire for him
And love blossoming anew.
She was reticent about her feelings
Afraid to speak the words.
Not knowing what the future held,
Fearing he didn’t feel the same.
Though she could no longer hide it,
Her heart about to burst.
She pledged her love to him.
Softly he whispered in her ear,
“I love you too my dear.”
