Think Before You Speak

Reading into something when there is nothing

Uttering words you know nothing about

Making a mountain out of a molehill

Observing things that aren’t there

Repeating questionable facts

Scuttlebutt around the office watercooler

Anyone But You

Tell me it’s a lie

Please tell me it’s untrue

I heard a rumor

That he was loving you

You knew I cared

You knew I wanted him

How could you do this

Crushing my heart my friend

I’ll try to be happy

To wish you two well

But slowly I’m dying

In my own private hell

He was all I dreamed of

And loved him from a far

Now to see him with you

Just irritates the scars

So I might shut down

And no longer talk to you

You stole my love

What else could I do
