Happy and Grateful – Day 258

The kids are all in school, there is a growing crisp in the air.  Football games and shorter days fill the weeks.  It is September.  I have accomplished another month of acknowledging my happiness and gratitude every day.  Join me as I continue my goal of one year on this journey.  Please join in with your happiness and gratitude in the comments or your own blog post.  No matter how bad the day is there is always something worthwhile in the day.

We are one step closer to getting our new used vehicle.  We put a deposit on a Chevy Trail Blazer and will finish up paperwork and get it the first of next week… then I wont have to take my boyfriend to work any more.  We can both run errands at the same time again.  I am grateful it is that much closer to happening… I really hope it lasts for a long time before it needs any work on it.

Shortly after we returned from the car dealership, my daughter came over to do some laundry and have dinner with us.  We got caught up again on the soap opera and shared a laugh or two.  She always makes me happy when she visits.

Now to get some rest and start the weekend.  Remember to find your happiness and feel your gratitude.  Have a great night/day!

Happy and Grateful – Day 244

Another night when the fatigue got the best of me.  Now I struggle early this morning trying to get this done before I fall back asleep.  Bear with me as I clear the cobwebs out of my mind.

This was an ok start to the month.  I napped twice today and fought an intense headache.  I had to do some shopping for my Dad but didn’t have the energy to do it alone and asked my boyfriend to help me through it.  I was grateful he came along.

The night ended on a happy note.  My daughter stopped by after work with laundry and we watched some of the soap opera.  Even if I am not feeling that good she can always make me happy.

(Now I just found I did not publish this in the morning… my head is just not in the game these days, oops!  Wish me luck on getting tonight’s post out on time.)

Remember to find your happiness and feel your gratitude.  Have a good night/day!

Day 93 – 100 Days of Happiness

Today my anxiety got the better of me and kept me home all day, missing two doctor appointments.  But this day of being house bound did not stop me from finding some happiness.  It just happened to be my daughters day off from work today so she came over and we did a binge watch of all the soap episodes we were behind on and just finished a little while ago at nearly 2am.  But while she was here she got her laundry done and we chatted about a lot of things.  She had dinner with us we laughed many times.  It was good to spend some time with her.  Now if I can get some sleep so I wont be a zombie tomorrow… LOL.

Day 90 – 100 Days of Happiness

This morning started out with a shock.  I awoke to the sound of keys in the lock.  The next thing I knew my daughter had walked in.  It was a nice surprise visit.  She had come to help put decorations on the Christmas tree.  So while she was here we watched a few of the soap episodes off of the DVR and had some laughs.  She did have to leave after an hour or two so she could go to work, but it was sure nice to see her.  Now that the tree is up and decorated my next step is to get those Christmas cards done… as long as I put them in the mail box before midnight on Christmas Eve they are technically  sent before Christmas…. LOL.

Day 38 – 100 Days of Happiness

A fourth and fifth generation tradition continued today.  Like my mother before me, I managed to watch the soap operas with my daughter until she became a fan as well.  It all goes back to my great-grandmother and grandma listening to As The World Turns on the radio.  That in turn lead to my mom beginning to watch it when it was then on television.  And on summer breaks from school I would watch ATWT and Guiding Light with my mom.  As my daughter was growing up we watched those until they went off the air and now we still record and try to keep up with The Bold and the Beautiful.  This was the first day in quite a while she had the afternoon off and could watch a few episodes of the soap.  It is a guilty pleasure and a family tradition.  And ANY TIME I can spend with my daughter always makes me happy.
