I am starving
Feed me with your hands
I am lonely
Love me with your heart
I am empty
Inundate me with your spirit
I am yours
Take me as I am

For some reason in my years of blogging I seemed to skip over the 17th for some reason. I only found two I had posted. This week I share the one from last year. A poem about the loss of my ex-husband to alcoholism. It was originally posted here.
Sharing this for FFF.
I wonder if
You still exist
Is your spirit
Still in pain
Do you feel
The least remorse
For leaving her
Without a father
Can you see
The woman she is
In spite of
What you did
Or is there
Nothing but darkness
In your afterlife
This weeks FFF takes me back two years to this post that was for the word prompt ghoulish…
On a dark night
In the city graveyard
A ghoulish site
Stopped me in my tracks
A ghostly figure
Floated above your tombstone
It turned as if it saw me
They quietly faded away
I often wonder why it left
If it was you
And will it ever return
I know you’re gone for good
But part of me wishes
I could see a shimmer of you
Just for a second
To smell your cologne in the air
To see you smile
To hear you laugh
If only…
On a dark night
In the city graveyard
A ghoulish site
Stopped me in my tracks
A ghostly figure
Floated above your tombstone
It turned as if it saw me
They quietly faded away
I often wonder why it left
If it was you
And will it ever return
I know you’re gone for good
But part of me wishes
I could see a shimmer of you
Just for a second
To smell your cologne in the air
To see you smile
To hear you laugh
If only…
It is bigger than life
Larger than imaginable
The mighty pull of love
It makes you a fool
It steals your future
It twists your reality
And if it is one-sided
It breaks your spirit…
