The month of October is upon us. Fall is in full swing with the leaves gathering on the lawn… maybe a pile or two to run through even. The evenings are getting dark earlier as the days grow shorter. And a few of us look forward to a good scare with Halloween coming this month. Everyday has at least some small portion of good in it. I am looking for that good with this challenge to find my happiness and gratitude every day. Join in with the challenge by commenting or writing your own blog… let’s find some goodness today.
What a day for a football game. My favorite team was delayed almost 45 minutes due to nearby thunderstorms. But once the game started it was all Cyclones and it ended up 45 to nothing. That made me happy and was a good way to start the day.
I spent the day doing a little writing and some photo editing. It was good to stay busy as tonight my mind is wandering more and making the time barely move. Of course since I had a very short night of sleep (maybe 4 hours only) I am also feeling out of sorts because of that. But I am grateful that it is the end of the work week for my boyfriend and so nothing to wake up early in the morning for.
Sorry if this is a little disjointed, I am just struggling to stay awake and get it done. I hope to read a couple more blogs and then go to sleep. Remember to find your happiness and feel your gratitude. Have a good night/day!
June brings warmer weather and the start of summer. Hopefully it brings many ideas from my muse too. I continue to write for my challenge to find the things that make me happy and grateful each day this year. Please feel free to join me in this challenge with comments about your happiness and gratitude or start your own blog. There is always something good to find in each day.
I’m exhausted! The day has been filled with much too much on very little sleep. So I will probably keep this short and sweet so I can close my eyes…let’s just hope they don’t close before I post this.
I had shopping to do for my Dad today, taking and picking up my boyfriend from work, coffee group for my Dad, and dinner for my Dad… phew! I got through it all, but it was kind of staggered throughout the day so it wasn’t all at once. And I did take a short nap in there too. I am grateful I had the energy to get it all done.
We had some thunderstorms roll though this afternoon… I am also grateful we did not have any tornadoes as there were some sighted in the state with this system. I just hope the rain knocked some of the humidity out of the air for tomorrow, but I doubt it.
Today I got an email from a very close friend. She was like a big sister when I was growing up. She had to move back home to California and I have missed her ever since. She has been having some health issues and I sent her a letter last week and she replied with an email I was so happy to get.
Ok, the Sandman is here with a BIG bag of sand threatening to knock me out so I should go. Hope everyone had a good day!
May has arrived and I hope it brings lots of Spring cheer with it. I am in my fifth month now of taking time to acknowledge the things that make me happy and grateful every day… almost half way to my goal of a full year. If you want to join in on this challenge please add your thoughts in the comments or start your own blog. There is a lot to be happy and grateful for!
Sorry I missed last nights post. The fatigue got the best of me once again. I am sure the stress of the day and a little of the after effects of the “happy juice” they gave me at the hospital kept me a little tired too. But everything went well with the test… now I just have to hope the doctor will let me go another 10 years before I have to do it again!
So for a day spent at the hospital it was a pretty good day. My daughter was my driver and she joked with me to help put me at ease. I really am blessed with a wonderfully kind daughter. I was happy she could be my driver and grateful the test went well.
Today was a day of rain and thunderstorms. Last I heard nearly 20,000 people in the state were without power after 60 to 70 MPH winds blew through with the storms. My dad had limbs down in his yard. There was hail all over the state. Luckily no confirmed tornadoes that I heard of. I was happy the system rolled through as it brought cooler spring like temperatures with it. I was grateful there was no worse damage done.
