Hot, hot, hot… that has got to be the word of the week. I guess it makes sense when Thursday was the official entry into Summer from Spring. So, bring on the sunscreen and the summer festivals, fairs and carnivals… the pools are cool, and parks have lots of shade. Take some time to enjoy the wonders of nature – the lightening bugs, heat lightning in the skies and a welcome rain shower to drench the dry soil.
In my state for the last few years we have been worried about droughts, with recent rains there are many concerned with flooding in Iowa now. It does look like a couple of days break in the rain… hopefully enough for the excess to run off.
